Family Engagement Modules

Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) has partnered with Stetson and Associates and our parent and community partners to create three Family Engagement training modules. This series of parent modules was created to provide families with information and resources on the following topics:


Module 1: Family Engagement: The Importance of Parents as Partners

This module provides families with an overview of family engagement and provides clarity on the difference between family engagement and involvement. Additionally, this module addresses the importance of families as partners and provides information on how to get help.

Module 3: Inclusive Education and Family Partnerships

This module is designed to provide families with an overview of inclusive education, what it is, and why it’s important. Additionally, this module covers the roles of parents in supporting their child’s success in an inclusive school.
