Meaningful Partnerships
A local culture where families, community members, and school partnerships support and sustain equity and excellence within the school. The partnership between parents and educators is a critical component in advancing inclusive practices.
Standards of Practice
7.1 Family members are active members of decision making teams.
7.2 School intentionally builds relationships with families through two-way communication and off-campus activities.
7.3 Students plan family/community/school events which result in increased family involvement.
7.4 Parents are provided information on inclusive education and how they can support their child’s success.
7.5 Parent and community input is used when making school governance decisions.
7.6 Community partners assist in addressing school needs by providing necessary resources to staff, teachers, and families.
